About Claudia
Growing up my mom had tons of nicknames for me. One she called me the most was ‘Suki’ or ‘Suka-doo’– where the name Sukia comes from.
I’ve built Sukia for me, but mostly for my mom. I’m an only child and grew up with her - my absolute best friend. She had such a love and passion for beauty, mostly makeup. Which of course I came to love as well. When I was 18, she passed very tragically and suddenly. Building Sukia is how I live my passions while staying connected to her.
I spent 5 years as a makeup artist before I really fell in love with skin. I started Sukia in 2020 after graduating college, and am so grateful to be picking it back up. In 2025 I went back to school to become a licensed esthetician. I wanted to really learn and understand skin before coming back with Sukia.
I have a true love and passion for helping others feel their best. Something I truly stand for at the same time is not succumbing to the aggressive nature of the beauty industry (i.e., pressure to be perfect, do more, change yourself). We’re all uniquely ourselves. We’re so much more interesting than our looks.
